As an athlete, Karen knows the importance of pain relief when healing from injuries. After she was introduced to yoga, she began to study its different forms including Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa. In addition to learning the various traditions associated with each of these teachings, she trained in meditation. Karen has been teaching yoga for more than 14 years, following the completion of 500 hour certification as a registered yoga teacher with a focus on Vinyasa and Anasura Yoga. She truly believes that healing starts from the inside out and integrates mindfulness, breathing and attention to alignment as key components of her sessions. She enjoys watching her clients transform as they learn to appreciate the connection between body and mind. In addition to the yoga classes that she will offer at SCORE, she also offers workshops, and retreats as well as leads teacher training.
