Born and raised in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, Clever was immersed in traditional healing practices from an early age. Trained in ethnobotany and plant medicine by his family lineage, he serves as a certified representative of the Amazonian Kichwa people and is a respected authority in Amazonian healing traditions. He is the founder of Ruku Samay Healing Center—a retreat in the Ecuadorian Amazon that attracts visitors from around the globe seeking authentic spiritual and physical renewal.
Clever is also a dedicated educator, having shared his knowledge of plant medicine and shamanic healing with institutions and communities throughout Ecuador. In addition to his traditional training, Clever holds formal credentials in ecotourism and is a certified rainforest and rafting guide through the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism.
